In an interview for Expok, Jana Nieto Karam, executive director of Government Affairs and Sustainability at 3M Latin America, announced that this program was created in 2017, with the purpose of donating consultancies and training to different Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). ), focusing on themes of “Science for the community”, “Science for the circular economy” and “Science for the environment”.
“When you constantly help and give a check, donate in cash, donate in kind, all of that weaves the social network, but the moment you can donate time, knowledge and passion for something that you already know how to do very well, that is ground gold for organizations,” he said.
In its second edition of the 3M Impact program, the company worked hand in hand with “Pro Natura”, an organization dedicated to the conservation of biodiversity, “Fundación Forge, focused on encouraging young people to obtain a quality life through work , “Educampo”, an association that promotes productive projects in the Mexican countryside, and Mexico Recycles, a company focused on the transition to the circular economy.
